Which League Does FC Florida Prep Play In?We compete in the EDP (Elite Development Program) and attend national events and showcases with EDP. Additionally, we have competed in many top tournaments outside of EDP to compete against some of the best teams in the country including Dallas Cup, Jefferson Cup and Surf Cup. For the 2023/2024 season, we will participate in several of the top national tournaments built around our EDP league schedule.

What Summer Camps Does FC Florida Prep Offer?We are hosting summer camps at the Pine School during three different weeks: June 5 - June 9, June 19 - 23 and July 10 - 14. Additionally, we are finalizing details for a summer College ID Camp at the Pine School where we will bring in coaches from some of the best academic and athletic institutions in the country to work with our players. The College ID Camp will also be offered in the winter and spring.

What Upcoming Tournaments Will FC Florida Prep Compete In?We have confirmed our participation in the Palm Beach Cup on Mother's Day weekend (May 12 - May 14) for our U13 and U16 boys teams.

What Coaches Are On Staff At FC Florida Prep?We have four new coaches at FC Florida Prep: Cesar Montes - Coach Montes brings over 20 years of club coaching experience in Florida to the staff. He previously coached under Joseph Schultz with Boca Juniors/Schultz Academy. With FC Florida Prep, he has coached players that went on to sign professionally with clubs including Botafogo and Crystal Palace and coached players that played collegiately at programs including Harvard, Georgetown, University of Pennsylvania, Wesleyan, Northeastern and FAU. Coach Montes led the FC Florida Prep 1998/1999 boys team to a Gotsoccer #1 National Ranking and championships at major tournaments including Dallas Cup and Surf Cup. Cam Omsberg - Coach Omsberg recently joined FC Florida Prep after spending over ten years coaching soccer collegiately. Most recently, he was the First Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at UConn Men's Soccer. Previously, he was the First Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Northeastern University for six years and Bates College for three years. Coach Omsberg holds coaching licenses including USSF E, D and C and United Soccer Coaches National, Advanced National and Premier. Coach Omsberg has coached several players that currently play for MLS and USL teams along with players that signed with professional clubs in Denmark, Brazil, Israel, Ireland and Canada. Additionally, he coached and played for multiple Northeast Division Champion teams in the USL League Two with both Seacoast United and GPS Portland Phoenix. Coach Omsberg played collegiately at Division I Lehigh University, where he was a two-year team captain and an All-Patriot League and All-Patriot League Tournament Team selection. Emmanuel Perez - Coach Perez joins FC Florida Prep after a distinguished youth and collegiate playing career. He was a two-year captain and top goal scorer at Division I Cal Poly while playing under former US National Team coach Steve Sampson. He also was on Sampson's coaching staff with Central Coast United in San Luis Obispo, CA. Coach Perez was named an MLS Draft Eligible player in the 2021 MLS Draft. During his youth career, he played for the US Youth National Team and three different MLS Academies (New York Red Bulls, FC Dallas, and Philadelphia Union). Throughout his time at FC Dallas and Philadelphia he was training consistently with the first team of each club. Prior to playing at those MLS academies, he played for Sunrise Elite and helped lead his team to a #1 national ranking, four consecutive Florida State Championships, three Regional Championships, and two Dallas Cup wins. Frederick Gil - Coach Gil joins FC Florida Prep's coaching staff after finishing his playing career at Division I USF. Coach Gil played for both the Philadelphia Union Academy and the Union's USL team, Bethlehem Steel. He earned trials with Rangers F.C. (Scottish Premiership) and Colo-Colo (Chilean Primera Division). Coach Gil also served as team captain for Sunrise Elite, leading his team to a #1 national ranking, four consecutive Florida State Championships, two Regional Championships, and two Dallas Cup wins.

How Often Does FC Florida Prep Practice?We are committed to providing the best possible training environment and structure for all of our athletes. During the 2023/2024 season, we will practice three mornings per week, five afternoons per week and have two weekend video sessions per month. Our practices offer a mix of full outdoor sessions, technical sessions, futsal and weight training to maximize team and individual player development.

What College Recruiting Services Does FC Florida Prep Offer?Participation within our club includes group and individual meetings with our coaching staff regarding collegiate options academically and athletically. We will provide a professionally edited highlight video for each high school sophomore, junior and senior in the club as well as a college liaison process that includes guidance with contacting college coaches, correspondence with coaches and organizing college visits and decisions. We will reach out to college coaches on your behalf and contact colleges before our major tournaments and our College ID Camp events.
